Meet The Parents
Choosing the right parents for a litter is one of the most important decisions a breeder can make. Bella and Blue were carefully selected based on their health, temperament, structure, and genetics. Our goal is to produce Mini Bernedoodles that are healthy, confident, intelligent, and well suited to life as loving family companions.
Both Bella and Blue are first and foremost beloved family dogs. We believe great puppies begin with great parents, and we take the time to choose pairings that combine the qualities we value most in the breed.
Bella
45 lb F1 Mini Bernedoodle
Bella is the heart of our family and the reason we fell in love with Bernedoodles. She has a gentle, affectionate personality and a natural ability to connect with people. Her kind eyes and calm nature are often the first things people notice when they meet her.
Bella absolutely loves being around people, especially children. She has been raised alongside our daughters and has always been patient, playful, and eager to be included in family life.
Our daughter Cadence spent a full year training with Bella through 4-H Dog Club. Together, they participated in obedience training, agility work, showmanship, and dog shows. Bella loved learning new skills and showed the intelligence, willingness to please, and confidence that make Bernedoodles such wonderful companions.
Bella also has a fun and playful side. She loves going for car rides and is always ready for an adventure. She enjoys being part of whatever our family is doing and has no problem being the centre of attention. She even enjoys getting dressed up in sweaters, bandanas, and special outfits.
Bella has become a favourite among our extended family and friends. After spending time with her, several people who cared for her or had the opportunity to know her decided to bring a Bernedoodle into their own families. She truly represents the affectionate, people-focused temperament we love about this breed.
Bella lives in our home as a cherished member of our family. She has completed comprehensive genetic health testing and was chosen for our breeding program because of her health, temperament, intelligence, and beautiful structure.
Blue
40 lb Merle Poodle
Selecting the right sire for Bella's first litter was extremely important to us. We wanted a dog that complemented Bella not only in appearance, but also in health and temperament.
Blue comes from a highly reputable breeder in Deroche, British Columbia. We chose Blue because we wanted only the best for Bella's first litter. He has completed comprehensive genetic health testing and OFA health evaluations, and he has already produced three beautiful litters.
Blue has an incredibly calm and easy-going personality. He is quiet, confident, and comfortable in a variety of situations. He enjoys spending time outdoors, playing, and being part of family life.
Blue lives with his guardian family in Mission, British Columbia, where he receives excellent care and is loved as part of their family.
Blue complements Bella very well. Where Bella is social and affectionate, Blue brings a calm, steady nature. Together, they combine the qualities we value most: health, temperament, intelligence, structure, and beautiful colouring.
Health Testing and Genetics
Responsible breeding begins with healthy parents.
Bella and Blue have both completed comprehensive genetic health testing, and Blue has completed OFA health evaluations. These results help us make informed breeding decisions and reduce the risk of passing on known inherited conditions.
When choosing a breeding pair, we look beyond appearance. Health, temperament, structure, and genetic compatibility are all important factors in planning a litter.
Based on Bella and Blue's genetics, this pairing is expected to produce Mini Bernedoodles with a variety of beautiful coat colours and patterns, including merle, phantom, phantom tri, and tri-coloured puppies.
Each puppy will inherit its own unique combination of traits, markings, and personality. While coat colour is exciting, our primary focus is producing puppies with excellent temperaments and a strong foundation for a healthy life.
Expected Puppies
Bella and Blue's puppies are expected to mature between 35 and 50 pounds, making them a wonderful size for many families.
Health Testing and Genetics
Based on Bella and Blue's genetics, we expect this pairing to produce a beautiful variety of Mini Bernedoodle coat colours and patterns, including merle, phantom, phantom tri, and tri-coloured puppies.
Puppies may display a range of markings, including:
- Rich black colouring
- Tan points on the eyebrows, cheeks, chest, legs, and under the tail
- White markings on the chest, chin, paws, and facial blaze
- Merle patterning with unique variations from puppy to puppy
- Phantom and phantom tri markings
Because each puppy inherits a unique combination of genes from both parents, no two puppies will look exactly alike. Coat patterns, markings, and colour intensity can vary naturally within the litter.
While beautiful colouring is an exciting part of Bernedoodles, our primary focus is producing puppies with excellent temperaments, strong health foundations, and the qualities needed to become wonderful lifelong companions.
